The Design:
A round brilliant cut diamond hangs from a slim polished white gold bail, held by six slender claw prongs that rise around the girdle like the points of a crown. The six-claw hold lifts the stone high and leaves the pavilion open, so light enters freely and the diamond spreads a wide, even brilliance. The bail curves from the chain to the top of the setting on one clean line, keeping the stone upright and centred. It hangs from a fine white gold cable chain worn alone.
